A Vietnamese head & hair spa is a holistic relaxing treatment using the viral ring of water technique. Our 17-step process includes head & hair massage, deep scalp cleansing, hair washing, and blow drying, all stimulated with relaxing ASMR sounds and calming visual effects like our starry ceiling. A Head Spa at Chandee can also be combined with full body massage, facials, or both.

How is a Head Spa different from a regular shampoo or massage?

A head spa is a holistic treatment combining deep scalp cleansing, exfoliation, therapeutic head/neck/shoulder massage, aromatherapy, and premium product treatments, all enhanced with ASMR and calming visual experiences. It's not just hair washing - it relieves stress, promotes hair health, and enhances overall well-being.

Yes! We perform a scalp and hair consultation before each session and tailor the service based on your needs - whether you have dry scalp, oily scalp, hair thinning, or stress-related issues. We assess your hair type and select the appropriate Yves Rocher shampoo (Sensitive / Anti-Hair Loss / Anti-Dandruff / Regular / Detox) and treatment products accordingly.

• Pregnant guests: Can enjoy sessions if comfortable lying on their back
• Children 6+: May participate in our special gentle Kids Head Spa programs

What is the difference between Thai & Aroma massages?

• Thai massage: A clothed, energizing treatment that uses stretches and acupressure to release tension and improve flexibility
• Aroma massage: Uses warm essential oils and gentle strokes to deeply relax the body and calm the mind
  

What is a Office Syndrome massage?

• Office Syndrome massage: Targets neck, shoulder, and back tension caused by prolonged sitting or screen time

It doesn't matter - you don't have to wash your hair before the head spa. However, we start with head massage before the washing phase, so if your hair is very dirty, it may not be as pleasant for everyone. A quick wash in the morning before your visit is most comfortable, but not required.

Should I remove makeup before facial treatments?

No need! We will remove your makeup for you using the best products from Yves Rocher. For our luxury add-on service, we use Estée Lauder products.

What should I wear? Do I need to bring anything?

• Wear whatever makes you comfortable
• No special clothes needed
• We provide: Clothes (for Foot & Thai massage) and towels where and when needed
• For oil massage: We provide special disposable underwear, so everything is taken care of

How early should I arrive before my appointment?

We suggest arriving 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment. This gives you time to:

• Check in comfortably
• Complete any necessary forms
• Use the restroom if needed
• Begin your relaxation journey without rushing

We haven't encountered many issues, but naturally:

• Open wounds on scalp: Not recommended
• Dandruff: Normally okay - we have special dandruff shampoo
• General hygiene: Expected, as we are a clean shop with very clean therapists

We also have scalp analyzers that we can use to assess your current scalp condition and show you before-and-after results of the treatment.

Will the head spa make oily hair worse or better?

Much better! We use special shampoo (Yves Rocher Detox) for oily hair, plus keratin treatment to make your hair supple and smooth. During our hair assessment, we identify your specific needs and select the right products. Sometimes we need to comb first before wetting the hair to avoid tangles - this assessment is important before treatment starts.

What if I fall asleep during the treatment?

We encourage it! We are a "sleep salon" designed to make you relaxed.

• Very common: Most guests drift off during treatment
• What we do: We let you sleep peacefully and gently wake you when needed (usually the hair wash will naturally wake you)
• Guest reaction: Customers feel very relaxed and happy when they fall asleep
• Future plans: Our next branch will offer add-on sleep time packages where the room becomes a sleeping room after your treatment

Are your therapists certified?

Yes! All treatments are performed by certified, professionally trained female Thai therapists (we have no foreigner therapists) with many years of expertise in all types of body & head massage therapies. Certifications are available for viewing upon request. We train and upskill our therapists constantly to keep providing the best possible service to our customers. We also ask feedback after each treatment to ensure we keep learning and improve where we can.

Chandee is a Thai licensed massage provider by the Thai government.

Reservations are encouraged, especially Friday through Sunday which tend to fill quickly.

Can I request a specific therapist?

Yes! You can request a specific therapist, especially if you've had a great experience with them before. When booking through our website form, therapist names are listed in the dropdown menu. For other booking methods, simply tell us your preferred therapist's name, and we'll allocate them when available.

Absolutely! If you're enjoying your treatment and want to stay longer:

• Let your therapist know during your session
• Subject to availability, you can extend or add additional treatments
• You're welcome to stay with us all day if availability allows
• We even offer a 4-hour Half-Day Retreat package

At the spa, we accept:

Prices do not include tips. Tipping is at the discretion of guests for therapists and staff.

Unlike many spas, we operate until late night to accommodate busy schedules, jet lag recovery, and after-dinner relaxation.

Head Spa:

• 60 minutes: 45 min treatment + 15 min drying (50-55 min treatment for short hair)
• 90 minutes: 75 min treatment + 15 min drying (80-85 min treatment for short hair)
• 120 minutes: 105 min treatment + 15 min drying (110-115 min treatment for short hair)

Facials: 60-90 minutes

Massages: 60-120 minutes depending on service

Do you dry my hair after head spa?

Yes! We have a dedicated hair-dry salon to blow-dry your hair professionally, so you leave looking fresh and polished. This is included in all head spa treatments.

No, we take care of everything for you. We use Yves Rocher products to wash your hair and apply keratin to make it smooth and healthy (if your hair is not oily).
